  1. Wabash Day 2011 is in the books as a success. Michael Ruffing, Nathan Dinger and Morgan Patchell were joined by more than 10 fellow alums in an effort to clean up Montrose beach on Chicago’s North Side. The Adopt-a-Beach event was organized by Joe Martin (class of 2006) and involved picking up trash on the beach, checking pollution levels in the water and collecting data for the Chicago parks district. After ridding the beach of items such as bike locks, children’s toys, silverware and both empty and full liquor bottles the volunteers gathered at AJ Hudson’s Public House for some cold drinks and good times.
